Stradbroke Sports & Community Centre (often referred to as just the Community Centre) is the main building for holding all major functions within the village. The building was completed in 1995 and replaced the old village hall and incorporated the sports club thus integrating both sports and social activities in one building. On the 1st July 2022 the charity converted to a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation). Five trustees are elected by residents of Stradbroke at the annual general meeting. Up to four trustees may be appointed just prior to the annual general meeting following nominations received from user organisations. Additionally, three persons may be co-opted as trustees. The management committee which is responsible for the Centre thus has a maximum membership of twelve, all trustees having equal voting rights.

The Centre is very much a focal point for a variety of organisations within the village and caters for all ages. The Centre also offers an excellent place to hold private functions and includes a bar manned by volunteers.

The management committee strives to maintain a modern facility and over the years has upgraded both the equipment and the building. It has free WiFi, modern projection facilities, PA, a large screen and surround sound system for showing films and presentations.

If you are a current user or interested in hiring the Centre; room sizes, hire charges, current bookings, together with a new user manual are all accessible on this website. If you have an enquiry about the Tennis Courts, Swimming Pool or Gym please telephone 01379 384376

All that happens within the Centre is carried out by volunteers without whom the building and facilities would simply not operate. If anyone is interesting in offering their services, please contact any member of the Committee.
